🎓 Getting Started
How do I get started with Al-Meraj?
+
Getting started is simple. Click the “Book Free Trial” button on our website, fill in a short form with your name, contact details, and what programme you’re interested in. We’ll get back to you within 24 hours to schedule your free trial class.
What is the free trial class?
+
Our free trial is a 30-minute live 1-to-1 class via Zoom or Google Meet. There is no payment required and no commitment whatsoever. Your teacher will assess your current level, answer your questions, and show you exactly what a class with Al-Meraj looks like. After the trial, you decide whether to continue — completely your choice.
How quickly can I start?
+
We typically schedule free trial classes within 24–48 hours of your enquiry, sometimes the same day. Once you decide to enrol, your regular classes can begin the same week.
What do I need to get started?
+
All you need is: (1) a smartphone, tablet, or laptop with a microphone, (2) a stable internet connection, and (3) your Quran — physical or digital. We use Zoom or Google Meet for all classes. No special software or downloads are needed beyond these apps.
What if I have never read Quran before?
+
Absolutely no prior knowledge is needed. Our Quran for Beginners programme starts from the very basics — Arabic letter recognition. Many of our students have started as complete beginners and progressed to confident Quran readers within a few months.
📹 About Our Classes
How do the live online classes work?
+
All classes are held live via Zoom or Google Meet. Before each class, your teacher sends you a link. You click the link on any device — phone, tablet, or laptop — and the class begins. You can have your Quran open on the same device or a separate one. Sessions are 30–60 minutes depending on your plan.
Are all classes truly 1-to-1?
+
Yes, always and without exception. Every class at Al-Meraj is one teacher and one student — never a group. This is the foundation of our entire approach and why our students progress significantly faster than in group settings. We do not offer group classes.
How long are the classes?
+
Classes are either 30 or 45 minutes depending on the programme and plan. Our Starter plans include 30–45 minute sessions. Our Standard and Intensive plans include 45–60 minute sessions. Your teacher will recommend the optimal session length based on your age and goals.
Can I choose my class times?
+
Yes. When you enrol, you choose your preferred days and times from your teacher’s available schedule. We serve students in 15+ countries across all major time zones, and our teachers offer morning, afternoon, and evening slots seven days a week.
What if we need to miss or reschedule a class?
+
Life happens and we completely understand. Any class can be rescheduled with at least 12 hours’ notice by messaging your teacher or our support team on WhatsApp. We are flexible and work with our students’ family schedules without any issue.
Can parents observe their child’s class?
+
Absolutely. Parents are welcome and encouraged to observe any class at any time, especially in the early weeks. Simply be in the room or join the Zoom call. We support and encourage parental involvement in children’s Quran education.
👨‍🏫 About Our Teachers
Are your teachers certified?
+
Yes. All our teachers hold formal certifications. Several of our teachers hold the Ijaazah — a recognised chain of authority in Quran recitation traced through qualified scholars back to the Prophet ﷺ himself. This is exceptionally rare and represents the highest level of Quranic authority. All teachers are vetted and continuously evaluated by our academic team.
Do you have female teachers for sisters and children?
+
Yes, absolutely. We maintain a full team of qualified female Quran teachers. Female students are always matched with female teachers by default unless they specifically request otherwise. Our Sisters Programme is an exclusively female environment from teacher to student.
What languages do teachers teach in?
+
Our teachers can conduct classes in English, Urdu, and Arabic. When you enquire, let us know your preferred language of instruction and we will match you with a teacher who teaches in that language. Most of our teachers are bilingual or multilingual.
Can I request a specific teacher?
+
After your free trial, you can request to continue with the same teacher if their schedule allows. If you are not satisfied with your assigned teacher for any reason, we will match you with another teacher immediately — no questions asked.
Are the teachers background-checked?
+
Yes. All teachers undergo thorough vetting before joining our team. We follow strict safeguarding and child protection policies. The safety and wellbeing of all students, especially children, is our absolute priority.
💳 Pricing & Payments
How much do classes cost?
+
Our pricing starts from PKR 3,500 per month for the Starter plan (4 classes). The Standard plan (8 classes/month) is PKR 6,500, and our Intensive plan (16 classes/month) is PKR 13,000. International students can pay in their local currency at checkout. All plans include a free trial class.
Is there a long-term contract or commitment?
+
No contracts whatsoever. All our class plans are month-to-month subscriptions. You can pause or cancel at any time with one week’s notice — no questions asked, no cancellation fees, no complicated process. We earn your continued enrolment through results, not paperwork.
What payment methods do you accept?
+
We accept all major credit and debit cards, as well as PayPal, through our secure Shopify checkout. International students can pay in their local currency. All payments are processed securely and your card details are never stored by us.
Do you offer family discounts?
+
If multiple members of your family wish to enrol, please contact us directly and we will discuss the best arrangement. We value family enrolments greatly and always work to find a solution that works for everyone.
Progress & Results
How quickly will I see results?
+
Results vary by student, but most beginners can recognise all Arabic letters within 4–6 weeks and read basic Quran within 8–12 weeks. Students working on Tajweed typically see significant improvement within 3–4 months of consistent classes. Your teacher will set clear, realistic milestones at the first assessment session.
Do I receive progress reports?
+
Yes. Every student receives a written monthly progress report from their teacher. This report details what was covered during the month, areas of improvement, areas that need more work, and the goals for the following month. Parents of children also receive these reports.
Is there homework between classes?
+
Your teacher will set short, manageable practice tasks between classes — typically 10–15 minutes of daily recitation practice. This is optional but strongly recommended. Students who practise between classes progress significantly faster than those who only practise during class.
